Spend a Year Hitting the Best Motorcycle Rallies in America

It’s just you and the open road… amazing, right? Throw in a buddy or two… even better. Amp that up into a full-on motorcycle club, and you’ll feel blessed with a true sense of community on top of the visceral excitement of the ride.

Okay, how about we crank that up to, say, 5,000 or 50,000 or 500,000 fellow motorcyclists? Now we’ve got ourselves a rally.

Motorcycle rallies have etched out an undisputed place in all things Americana. Those who attend tend to do so for years on end, and some of the biggest and most established have been around for the better part of a century or more. Their popularity is such, however, that there’s still room for newer ones to grow and flourish.

Suppose one wanted to ride from rally to rally, Deadhead-style, swapping out the tie-dye for leather… This is what it might look like:

103rd Laconia Motorcycle Week

June 13-21, 2026

New Hampshire’s Laconia Motorcycle Week lays claim to America’s old motorcycle rally, now checking in for its 103rd edition. Still vibrant to this day, Laconic Motorcycle week offers plenty to do, day and night, stretching from Laconia to Weirs Beach to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

August 7-16, 2026

This one barely requires any explanation. You say “motorcycle rally” to pretty much anyone on planet Earth, and Sturgis is what populates their imagination. First organized as a relatively low-key dirt track race by the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club back in 1938, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has evolved into a mammoth, raging party that’s celebrated by well over half a million attendees who flock to the Black Hills annually. 

Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest

September 15-20, 2026

A newer rally on the scene, having originated earlier this millennium, the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest was designed to put a spotlight on the amazing riding that’s available in the area. It worked. The rally has grown up fast, now attracting nearly a quarter of a million bikers, who hit the roads and swing by the 300-ish biker friendly establishments. 

Myrtle Beach Bike Week 

September 25-October 4, 2026

Consider this Part I. Myrtle Beach Bike Week is held twice annually, attracting some 400,000 bikers in total. Coast views and oceanside roads greet riders, as do welcoming businesses who have happily coexisted with the event for 86 years.

Bikes, Blues & BBQ

Sept 30-Oct 3, 2026

We have some overlap in dates here, so you’re either going to have to choose or put in some miles between South Carolina and Arkansas in late September or early October. Bikes, Blues, & BBQ is exactly what it sounds like… and more. In addition to what you’d expect, this rally exists as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which has generated millions of dollars for those in need over the years. 

25th Las Vegas Bikefest

Oct 8-11, 2026

Sin City and bikes… It’s a perfect mix. While smaller in comparison to the aforementioned rallies that draw attendees in the hundreds of thousands, those who know, know. Vegas nightlife, concerts, and vibes, combined with bikes, yeah, this one ranks highly in the esteem of the initiated.

34th Annual Biketoberfest

October 15-18, 2026

Biketoberfest is the laid back sister rally to the more famous Daytona Bike Week. But don’t let that fool you – it still draws more than 100,000 riders and is absolutely packed with things to do. But don’t worry, if you’re still wanting to hit Bike Week, it’s not that far off…

Lone Star Rally

November 5-8, 2026

The Lone Star Rally celebrates the fall and has grown into the largest rally in its part of the country, drawing hundreds of thousands of riders. Bikes, live music, and even a rodeo – this a rally with a Texas flair.

86th Daytona Bike Week

March 5-14, 2027

Daytona Bike Week pulls in a half million riders looking to hit the beach following the long winter. It also marks the start of the race season for multiple series, and serves as the host of high-profile events for Monster Energy Supercross, Progressive American Flat Track, and MotoAmerica.

30th Arizona Bike Week

April 9-11, 2027

Arizona Bike Week welcomes riders with the warm desert weather and concentrated fun. Held in the confines of WestWorld of Scottsdale, Arizona Bike Week features plenty of music, custom bikes, and an opportunity to officially celebrate the start of the riding season.

The One Motorcycle Show

Late April-Early May (TBA), 2027

Billed as the world’s largest custom motorcycle show, Portland’s The One Motorcycle Show has a totally different, unique vibe, celebrating the strange, unconventional and flat-out weirder side of bikes. That said, you’ve still got the requisite music, food, and custom rides to check out.
