There is more to April than April Fools’ Day. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and bikers from all over Alabama will ride together on April 1, 2023, to raise awareness about the need to protect children from abuse and raise funds for a local children’s charity.
Join a Bikers Against Child Abuse Event
What better way to spend one of the first spring weekends than joining a motorcycle ride for child abuse prevention?
The 2023 Child Abuse Prevention Ride will take place in Athens, AL. All proceeds from the event will aid the Limestone Child Advocacy Center, a local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing free services to children affected by abuse and neglect. Events following the ride are for the entire family.
If you wish to join the ride, plan ahead of time to be there early. Riders will meet at 9am CDT at Redstone Harley-Davidson, 15100 State Hwy 20 W, Madison, AL 35756.
Registration is from 9am to 10:30am. The first bike goes out at 10:45am.
The bike run ends at the parking lot of the Limestone County Courthouse Annex at 100 S Clinton St, Athens, AL 35611. Don’t go home just yet — the fun is just beginning. The fundraiser will continue after the ride with a lot of fun activities for the whole family, including:
- Kids’ Fest
- Food trucks
- Bounce houses
- Live music
Admission for riders is $20 for one person and $30 for couples. The Kids’ Fest event is free!
