Whether you’re just passing through “Sun City” or you’re a native El Pasoan, you need a reliable spot to wet your whistle.
We’ve done the research for you, and this article divulges the top spots to rehydrate and refuel, including a couple of hidden gems.
1. Iron Horse Saloon
Step through a humble doorway and into a “biker-oriented” bar that is a favorite local hangout. Casual dress is the name of the game, and the bartenders pour a stiff drink with a smile. Stick around to shoot the breeze and play a game (or three) of pool. There’s a healthy collection of tables that are well-spaced.
The food menu is usually limited to burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs, but it does sometimes change. There’s also a lock on the toilet paper dispenser, and that was before Covid!

The crowd is diverse, so you won’t find a heavy biker presence, but you are still likely to see some friendly faces. In addition to being a bar, The Tap is also a Mexican restaurant. Make sure you try the nachos!

The bartenders are known for their friendly attitude, and the drinks are reasonably priced. There’s no food available, but there is a tattoo shop adjacent to the bar if you end up feeling spontaneous.
