What Is Essence Festival?
Essence Festival is a music festival celebrating Essence magazine, a magazine for African-American women.
This year, Essence Fest will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2023. The festival will feature musical performances from Ice Cube and other big-name artists.
Ride to Essence Fest in Style with Black Girls Ride
Black Girls Ride will host group motorcycle rides to the Essence Festival starting in all of the following states:
- Louisiana
- Ohio
- The Carolinas
- Virginia
- Texas
- Georgia
- New York and New Jersey
- Alabama
- California
When you register for $250, you’re in for a jam-packed weekend of fun.
- Thursday: Hop on a party bus to the Bourbon Street Parade and the welcome party
- Friday: Enjoy a bikers brunch, then hop on your bike for a police-escorted group ride. After, hit up the day party, and check out the events at Essence Festival.
- Saturday: Join in another police-escorted ride, and explore the BGR bike show from 11am to 3pm, then beat the heat with a pool party to round out the weekend
Registration includes a BGR VIP gift bag and two BGR Essence Fest t-shirts but admission to Essence Fest is sold separately.
