The Law Tigers, Falcon’s Fury Harley-Davidson®, and the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club are closing in on feeding 100 families this Thanksgiving. Now through Nov. 11 drop off non-perishable canned goods and holiday food items at Falcon’s Fury.
The Buffalo Soldiers and community volunteers will be creating meals for 100 families, said Orell “Big OG” Golding, vice president of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. “There is a collection box at the dealership for all food items, and we are accepting cash donations,” he said.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, the Law Tigers, Buffalo Soldiers and community volunteers will be creating 100 meals for local families. The meals will be distributed at Falcon’s Fury, and will include a turkey. Falcon’s Fury Harley-Davidson is located at 900 Dogwood Dr., SE, in Conyers, GA.
“No family should ever go without food, especially during the holidays,” Golding said. “Cash donations can be made at the Motorclothes counter at the dealership. Monies raised will be applied towards the purchase of turkeys for every family.”
Jay Verburg, Marketing Manager for the Law Tigers, said events like this create goodwill, and show that motorcyclists deeply care about the community they live in.
“Giving back and being involved is a big part of what we do at Law Tigers,” said Verburg. “Making sure local families have a holiday is a great way to stay plugged into our community.”
The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club began in 1993 in Chicago, paying homage to the legacy of African American military contributions in the post-Civil War era. The Georgia Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers started in 1999, and has grown considerably since that time. Membership requirements include holding a Class “M” motorcycle license and by any active, reserve, or retired armed-forces/law enforcement/public safety personnel.
