Motorcyclists, mark your calendars! If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to ride a Harley-Davidson, this is your chance. Every day in March, there are classes in Boise and across Idaho that teach you how to ride your new (or used) Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Learn to Ride, or L2R for short, has at least one class scheduled every day in March, including weekdays and weekends. Keep reading because we’ve got all the details here.
What You’ll Learn in the Motorcycle Safety Course
First things first – even if you don’t have a Harley-Davidson, you can take the course because bikes will be provided. You’ll also want to set aside two-and-a-half days to complete the 20-hour course, located at the High Desert Moto Plex in Meridian.
The L2R 101 Course provides a blend of hands-on and classroom training where you learn the basics of riding a motorcycle. Once you’ve gotten the hang of things, the next phase of the course teaches you street strategies and how to maneuver in various emergency situations.
You’ll be in a group environment for this class, and class sizes max out at 12 riders. Once you’ve finished the course, you can waive the skills test that’s typically required for an endorsement. After the class, you’ll be ready to hit the open road.
Have a bike enthusiast in your life? You can also give the class as a gift! As long as your recipient has a valid driver’s license or permit, they can take the class.
