Come ride for a cause and join Faith Riders in this year’s Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child motorcycle ride. This is a fundraising event that raises money to provide gifts to children in need across the United States, including Smithfield, right outside of Virginia Beach.
About Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is an international organization started by Samaritan’s Purse. The goal is to provide millions of children across the globe with “shoebox gifts,” which are filled with a variety of goodies ranging from personal grooming items and school supplies to toys. Many of the children helped by the charity live in the local area, and the organization has worldwide reach, including gifting children in war-torn countries.
Samaritan’s Purse has been partnering with churches and schools to curate and deliver shoebox gifts since 1993. Today, more than 209 million shoebox gifts are delivered each year to children in need.
Event Details
This is a Virginia Beach motorcycle run to benefit kids, organized by Faith Riders. Anyone interested in motorcycle rallies and benefiting charities can meet at the Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church to convene with other riders and begin building shoeboxes.
