Motorcycle Events in New Mexico
Popular motorcycle rallies in New Mexico include the AspenCash Motorcycle Rally, the Red River Memorial Day Rally, and the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally.
AspenCash Motorcycle Rally
The AspenCash Motorcycle Rally will take place on May 19th-22nd, 2022, in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico. After the 2021 rally fell through due to COVID-19 restrictions, riders from all across the country are all revved up to attend the 2022 event in Southeast New Mexico’s Sierra Blanca and Sacramento Mountains.
The headquarters of the AspenCash Rally are in the Ruidoso Convention Center. The rally includes breathtaking rides through the glorious Sierra Blanca range.
Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally
Like the AspenCash Rally in the spring, the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally will run in Ruidoso in the fall. This autumn event will take place from September 15th-18th, 2022, with over 20,000 riders and motorcycle enthusiasts expected to attend.
Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino will serve as the event’s headquarters. The Sierra Blanca Mountains provide a gorgeous backdrop for riders who want to hit the local roads during the rally.
Red River Memorial Day Rally
2022 will mark the 40th anniversary of the annual Red River Memorial Day Rally, which will run from May 26th-30th, 2022, in the town of Red River, New Mexico, which is north of Taos. The rally’s main areas will be Downtown Red River, Brandenburg Park, and the Red River Conference Center.
Organizers anticipate that the event will attract around 20,000 riders. Rally participants will ride across the stunning Sangre de Cristo Mountains along the scenic Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway.
Other attractions of the Red River Memorial Day Rally include stunt shows, vendors, and live music. A ceremony in honor of American veterans will take place in Brandenburg Park. The proceeds from the event will go to charity.
The Hideout Rally
Another Memorial Day rally running May 26th-30th, 2022 in the same area will be The Hideout Rally in Eagle Nest, New Mexico, also located along the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway northeast of Taos. The Laguna Vista Resort will host the rally for the second year.
The Hideout Rally participants will enjoy rides, vendors, live music, bikini bike wash, raffles, food and drink stalls, and much more. The event organizers offer RV and tent camping options for outdoor enthusiasts. Eagle Nest Lake State Park is nearby.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
The list of motorcycle rallies in New Mexico would be incomplete without including The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. The New Mexico event of this worldwide motorcycle rally will take place on May 22nd, 2022, in Albuquerque.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a global network of vintage and classic-style motorcycle rallies, aims to raise awareness of men’s mental health, invest in suicide prevention, and gather funds for prostate cancer research. The organizers partner with November, a global men’s health organization.
Bikers who participate in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride know they ride for a good cause. In 2021, the rally marked its 10th anniversary and reached the milestone of gathering over $30 million.
