Sturgis Bars and Restaurants

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally celebrates all things bikers — including biker bars. When you attend the rally, you’ll have the chance to eat and drink at some of the top biker bars in the area. You’ll also have access to an extensive selection of high-quality restaurants and other eateries throughout your trip.

If you’re a foodie, you may want to plan out your meals in advance to make sure you hit all of the best bars and restaurants near the motorcycle rally. Here are a few of the top bars and restaurants in Sturgis to add to your list.

The Knuckle Saloon

The Knuckle Saloon is a pub located in downtown Sturgis right near the action of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This historic saloon brings the atmosphere of a traditional biker bar to small-town Sturgis year-round. However, the bar is especially rowdy during the Sturgis Rally.

If you visit The Knuckle Saloon during the rally, you’ll find more of an open floor plan, live music, and hundreds of other rally attendees having nightly parties and enjoying the biker community. The saloon features bikes, buckets, and motorcycle memorabilia as decor and an overall friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Better yet, this eatery has a full dinner menu featuring burgers, wraps, melts, salads, and more. You’ll also find a full bar at this festive pub.

You can stop at the saloon’s gift shop on your way out for Sturgis Motorcycle Rally souvenirs to add to your collection. Altogether, The Knuckle Saloon is a must-stop destination for bikers attending the rally.

One-Eyed Jack’s Saloon

One-Eyed Jack’s is a biker-themed saloon located on Main Street in Sturgis, making it an ideal dinner location after a long day of rallying downtown. You can also stop by during the day and grab a seat on one of the saloon’s many balconies to watch the rally events with a cold drink in hand.

This bar is world-famous, bringing in patrons from across the globe to enjoy motorcycle-themed fanfare and gather in community. One-Eyed Jack’s is only open during the summers and has special hours during rally week — 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. each day.

You can stop by at almost all hours of the day to grab a drink or a bite to eat from the bar’s extensive food menu. Choose from awesome food options such as steaks, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, or the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for a delicious meal.

The Iron Horse Saloon

The Iron Horse Saloon is an entertainment destination that fits right into the grand atmosphere of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This restaurant, saloon, and sprawling entertainment center includes over 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space across three stories.

Sturgis Rally attendees get exclusive access to this saloon. The Iron Horse is only open during the rally, remaining closed for the rest of the year. You can stop by the Iron Horse during the rally to watch free concerts and other live entertainment or check out the downtown Sturgis festivities from one of the pub’s three balconies.

If you want to get the full Iron Horse experience during the rally, you can sign up for a VIP pass through the saloon. This pass will give you access to reserved seating for the concerts and free drinks.

Loud American Roadhouse

Loud American Roadhouse (LAR) lives up to its name as a boisterous American-themed pub in the heart of Sturgis. With its convenient location on Main Street, you can easily walk to this pub after a day of bike shows and activities downtown.

LAR stays open throughout the year and is a popular concert venue for local artists. The pub is known for its loud music, exciting entertainment, and delicious food and drinks. Many of its concerts are free to the public.

LAR also offers brunch on the weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We highly recommend stopping by this trendy restaurant during rally week.

Sturgis Coffee Company

You’ll probably have a few late nights during the Sturgis Rally. As a result, stopping by the Sturgis Coffee Company each morning can help energize you for the next day of festivities.

The Sturgis Coffee Company has some of the best coffee in town. This company roasts its own coffee beans fresh, delivering a steaming, aromatic, smooth cup of coffee to each customer. If you plan to stop by later in the day, you can also take advantage of the coffee company’s beer on tap.

Stop by the Sturgis Coffee Company gift shop on your way out to commemorate your rally trip in a creative way. The gift shop sells souvenir cups, apparel, and beans by the bag. You can also take home soups, breads, coffee syrups, and other goodies to enjoy in the weeks after the rally.

Jambonz Grill & Pub

If you like Cajun food or are searching for a unique eatery to add to your rally itinerary, you’ll want to check out the Jambonz Grill & Pub. This Cajun-style restaurant brings the atmosphere of a Louisiana kitchen to Sturgis. Featuring jazz-themed decor and the best Cajun food in the area, Jambonz stands out as a unique food option for rally attendees.

This bar and grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, with a full menu of unique and delicious eats. You can order authentic gumbo, American-style chili cheese fries, and a range of menu items in between.

If you’re a breakfast lover, you’ll be happy to know that Jambonz serves breakfast all day. You can sit inside, grab a patio table, or roll up on your bike and order at the convenient drive-thru. Be sure to finish off your meal with one of Jambonz’s 16 ice cream flavors.

Stadium Sports Grill

Stadium Sports Grill is another classic biker-style bar that regular rally attendees hit up each year during their trips. This grill features motorcycle-themed decor and a menu of delicious eats to satisfy you after a long day at the rally.

We recommend ordering the signature dish of South Dakota — steak tips — at this eatery. Stadium Sports Grill prepares this dish with a special secret sauce, and rally-goers rave that they’re the best steak tips in the area. If you’re planning to stop by the Stadium with a group, you can order the “macho size” that includes hot fries or kettle chips to feed four people.

Aside from beef tips, the Stadium Sports Grill also serves burgers, melts, salads, and more. You can top off your meal with fried cheesecake, Oreo fried ice cream, or deep-fried apple pie.

Lucky 13

If you’re looking for an eatery slightly outside the action of rally town, we recommend trying Lucky 13 in Spearfish. This restaurant has a unique menu that will satisfy picky eaters or a large group of rally attendees.

Lucky 13’s menu includes options such as:

Loaded baked potatoes
House-made pizza rolls
Prime rib
House-made tater tots

You’ll also find rotating beers on tap, live music, and an outdoor patio at this restaurant. We recommend finishing off your meal with the Frosted Flakes french toast or another unique dessert option.

Because this restaurant is outside Sturgis, you may find that it is not quite as crowded as downtown restaurants and pubs. However, don’t worry — you’ll still see plenty of other rally attendees and motorcycle enthusiasts to keep the party going during your meal.
