Jonathan Ortwein
Attorney
Jonny is originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma for both his undergraduate degree and law school. During law school, Jonny twice represented the University of Oklahoma College of Law nationally in the American Association for Justice’s national mock trial competition – a competition focused on representing people who have been injured by the negligence of others. Jonny was also selected as a member of the Order of Solicitors, an award provided to students excelling in oral argument and trial skills.
Since graduating law school in 2014, Jonny has been an active litigator representing motorcycle riders and those who have been injured due to the negligence of others all across Oklahoma. Jonny is new to the experience of riding, drawn to the fun of exploring backroad highways. While he may be just starting out on his motorcycle riding journey, he is not new to the unique dangers riders face with inattentive drivers on the road and the high risk of serious injury.
Jonny is not afraid to take clients’ cases to trial, having tried cases and fought insurance companies in Oklahoma and Federal district courts, helping his clients obtain millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements. In 2022, Jonny was selected by the National Association of Personal Injury Attorneys as one of their Nationally Ranked Top 10 Under 40 personal injury lawyers.
In his free time, Jonny enjoys spending time with his family, watching OU football, and going to Lake Texoma every chance he gets.
