A Daytona Loop Motorcycle Ride

Daytona Loop Motorcycle Ride

Whether you’re in town for Daytona’s annual Bike Week or Biketoberfest events or just visiting the area when it’s too cold to ride anywhere else, don’t miss the famous Daytona Loop ride in Florida while you’re in town! This 23-mile route takes less than an hour to ride straight through, but the route takes you past many local attractions, restaurants, beaches, and state parks and preserves.

What Is the Daytona Loop Ride?

The Daytona Loop Ride is part of the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail (OSLT) double-loop ride. The loop takes riders along one major highway along the barrier island, looping back to the mainland starting point on the other side of the Granada Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway at the Halifax River.

Bikers can opt for the shorter Daytona Loop ride or make the double loop along the entire OSLT for both beach and intracoastal waterway views. The second loop takes riders along both sides of the island for more waterfront riding.

The Route for the Ride

Starting at the Granada Bridge in Ormond Beach, riders will head north on the island along either John Anderson Drive (to ride along the Intracoastal) or up Ocean Shore Boulevard for views of the Atlantic. Turn left at High Bridge Road and follow the curve along the river to make a left on Walter Boardman Lane.

Turn left on Old Dixie Highway (Florida A1A) to head south, merging onto North Beach Street as you head back to the Granada Bridge in Ormond Beach.

To make the double loop on the OSLT, start at the bridge and head north on John Anderson Drive. Turn right at High Bridge Road to head south again along the beaches on Ocean Shore Boulevard. Cut back to the mainland on Granada Bridge, then head north on North Beach Street, merge onto Old Dixie Highway, and turn right toward the island again on Walter Boardman Lane.

Make a right onto High Bridge Road, then make one last trip south on the island on either John Anderson or Ocean Shore Boulevard, and return to the starting point at Granada Bridge.
