Daytona Beach and the surrounding cities are filled with beautiful routes for motorcycling. They’re also full of fun attractions that can easily fill your downtime during Bike Week.

Daytona Loop
If you’re in the mood for a short ride near Daytona, we recommend the Daytona Loop. This 22-mile route takes you past the beautiful scenery Daytona Beach is known for. It also includes plenty of places to stop for food or fuel.
You can start this loop on John Anderson Drive near the Granada Bridge. Then, turn left on Highbridge Road, which is full of twists and turns and stunning waterfront views. Eventually, you can turn left on Walter Boardman Road, then left again on Old Dixie Highway to return to the Granada Bridge.
Ocala National Forest Loop
The Ocala National Forest is a scenic forest just north of Orlando. This forest is home to several natural springs, sand pine scrub forests, hundreds of ponds and lakes, and other natural attractions. Many people recognize this national forest for its beautiful blue-green spring waters.
The Ocala National Forest Loop motorcycle ride is one of the best Daytona Beach motorcycle rides to see excellent views of the area’s lakes, forests, and wetlands. You’ll pass through oak-lined roads, ride by quiet prairie land, and get out of the hustle and bustle of Daytona Beach for a few hours.
You can input the following locations in your GPS in this order to create the loop:
- Palatka
- Salt Springs
- South Bay Street
- Leesburg
- Ocala
- Hawthorne
Canaveral National Seashore
The Canaveral National Seashore is a barrier island and nature preserve near New Smyrna Beach. This park is the largest stretch of undeveloped beaches in Florida, allowing you to take in the beauty of nature without the boisterous beachgoers.
You can input “Apollo Beach” into your GPS to reach this destination. Then, you’ll have the opportunity to ride alongside the shore for several miles before parking in a designated parking area. We recommend parking in Lot 6, as you’ll have a view of the launch pads at Kennedy Space Center from this beach area.
You can extend your trip by visiting Turtle Mount, an Indian mound filled with oyster and clam shells.
A1A North
Daytona Beach has some of the best ocean views in the area. If you want to get out of Daytona Bike Week for a few hours and enjoy these sparkling views, you can hop on Route A1A North and travel as many miles as you’d like. This major road hugs the Atlantic coast closely, providing excellent ocean views along the way.
Once you’re ready to head back, you can take an exit and hop back on A1A South. However, keep in mind that because this route is the main road through many oceanfront towns along the coast, it tends to get pretty busy.
Beach Cruise
Have you ever ridden your motorcycle on the beach? Good news — in certain sections of Daytona Beach, you can.
The cities of Daytona and New Smyrna allow motorcyclists to ride on specific portions of the beach. Just be sure to keep your speed limit at or below 10 miles per hour while you’re riding.
